I’ll buy one of these if
it is available single cab with a long bed and a manual transmission!
Translation:
I probably won’t buy one of these :(

would dual cab be a deal breaker?

I was just asking for another Brat.
Close enough.
I dig it. I hope it isn’t crap once it hits production.

Probably, yes.
I want something that is the smallest size possible with a bed that can fit a motorcycle. Even the midsize trucks (which are too big for me) make the bed almost uselessly small just to have a full cab.

Wait, what? T his thing is cool.

Interesting. I'm curious where it will price in compared to the Ridgeline.

It looks a lot like they’re making a single cab (or maybe more like the single plus a little like an old 4 passenger Ranger/S-10.
The only problem is that bed looks too short for what you asked for and I doubt they'll make it with a full 8 foot bed..

A real 6' bed is generally fine for a bike

It might be close..

I've been waiting for the Santa Cruz for a few years now. I hope they make it. I also hope that Ford brings a Courier over to the US, since they recently filed a trademark for it.

As this is only getting LHD production and it’s not BoF, Hyundai Oz (and Kia as well) have said “ nope.... we'll wait for the proper pickup in 2022".

Things I don’t get - the santa cruz
Who’s looking for a crossover based truck that isn’t big enough for a family or group of friends, wont have a big enough bed to do meaningful work, will still be way more vehicle than they want to drive, and cost as much as much better trucks?

If I did that I think I’d just end up looking longingly at the red VFR parked next door everyday

The rumors are it will be body-on-frame, and be a “real truck”
Edit: rumors may be cross-pollination with the BoF truck supposedly in development by Hyundai/Kia for the Australian market... Its a bit unclear.

Hyundai is making a truck that will be body on frame, but its not destined for this market. It will be Australian and other oceanic markets.

Why does a truck bed have to be a certain size? What if someone just wants something the size of a large trunk that can handle dirty/wet cargo?
